How to reset the administrator password for Eva P6000/ P6300 HP Storage.
If you forget the password for Administrator account in HP Eva storage P6000/P6300 series, there is no other way except by resetting it's hardware.
But don't worry how easy it is to reset using this hardware reset method. Go to the back of the panel and see at the controller, there is a management module. At the Management module you will see the reset button, the color is white (see the picture).
To reset, press and hold the button for about 6 to 8 seconds until the green led indicator is flashing. release it if already flashing. Green led will flashing while resetting process, wait for about 2 minutes.
The green led will stop flashing and change to normal green light, it means resetting process is already completed. The administrator password is already reset to default, also IP address of the management module is reset to default address.
The default Administrator account for HP EVA P6000 series is admin with no password (blank)
And the default IP address for management module is 192.168.0.1.
